Artist's Comments

Bored after work today, what can I say? The skin is a very nice canvas, with the right tools. Unfortunately, my ballpoint pen ran out, so I had to finish with my gel-writer. I find the gel-writer to be less abrasive, but the ballpoint makes a much darker mark and enables you to more easily produce shading (on skin). It also has a tendency to last, whereas gel-writer markings tend to bleed into the surface of the skin, and make a much grayer mark. Since they bleed a bit too, its harder to define your lines and you end up wasting a whole lot of ink trying to add depth. So for all you artists anxious to give this a try, go with the ballpoint. Its less messy.

So this is just a character I made up on the spot, with a little dragon friend. When I do this I have the most fun with making neat little border designs...

The ink will wash off within a few scrubbings.

That's amazing.. XD I do the same, but never something so beautifully done! I'd feel bad washing my hands after something like that.. hehe.

Looks awesome, I can't believe some people can hold still long enough to draw this, or that they can adjust to the continuous changes the 'canvas' produces for the pen.

Such as the hard-soft areas of the hand being so different.

Or the gradual steepening of the slope you drawing on as you get nearer the edge.

It's a marvellous talent. This is great.

:D

haha thanks. its nothing, really. try it! only, you tend to force others to avoid you and stare at you. its awkward. nonetheless, fun! (of course, I myself rather enjoy the seclusion it provides... haha) the biggest thing you need to worry about is smudging it before you are finished... if so... youre doomed. thanks for the comment  -L :damphyr:
